THE MANA OUR PEOPLE HAVE, BRINGS US TOGETHER
Community. Creation. Connection.
Set out to create a wonderful event for Waipa, Black Fox Creative business owner Taz (Taryn Lyford) launched Alfresco Bites, the artisan food market in 2015 to ensure Waipa was a better place to work, live and play. With her speciality in graphic design, experience in the hospitality industry, and a visionary for events, she has been able to create a wonderful, creative, and unique event atmosphere for Alfresco Bites and Bloom Collective.
The community has graciously accepted the Alfresco Bites as their own, with many going along every week, to get out of the house, and escape the dishes.
"It's a joy watching them invigorate their senses, trying something new, or enjoying a super delicious favourite. Actually seeing the community together, enjoying the food, the music, in 2015 at Leamington Domain we had the miniature trains, the playground, the cricket grounds, kids on their bikes and skateboards on the skate arena, makes it worthwhile. We even had a group from a local book club bring down cushions with their picnic blankets, and made a night of it. It makes Alfresco Bites even more magical seeing memories being made". says Taz.
Leamington Domain is a hidden gem in Cambridge, and is under-utalised. Taz, had a vision, and a dream to bring it to life, and she certainly has achieved this.
Not only hosting Alfresco Bites, but also creating Bloom Collective, a market for individual makers, crafters and creators to sell their artisan wares. The Twilight Christmas Market, was also created, and is a highlight on the calendar for this year also.
Taz has had many enquiries over the last year about other events, and often is happy to collaborate or discuss their vision. If you have an event, feel free to touch base.
ALL YOU NEED IS GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD MUSIC AND GREAT FOOD!
